Sunday, March 23, 2014

Spring break getaways are always highly anticipated adventures college students look forward to every spring to take a break from the books. Whether we were helping others through service trips or just relaxing with friends and family, the Alpha Xi Delta’s knew how to plan and enjoy a great spring break. Our sisters not only traveled across the United States, but paradise in the Caribbean and Mexico was also discovered. Here are a few of the destinations our sisters explored.

THE CARIBBEAN

Soaking in every ray in sight, Jess A. and Sammi cruised the Bahamas, while Carly, Jess Q., Megan W., Bethany and Molly explored the Bahamas, St. Thomas and St. Maarten on a cruise as well. Both groups of Alpha Xi’s conquered fun activities including zip lining and snorkeling!

MEXICO—CANCUN

Ali F. and Alex D. spent the week in Cancun, having the opportunity to meet other college students from all over the world.

FLORIDA

Florida always appears to be a popular destination for college students to enjoy vacations.

Dottie and Alexa went to Daytona Beach, where they learned how to surf for the first time!

Savannah and Rachel B. enjoyed the most magical place on earth, Walt Disney World!

Paige K. and Kayla traveled to West Palm Beach. They loved lying out on the beach and exploring the local shops.

Kendra went to the Keys to celebrate her best friend’s 21st birthday, and Sam M. , Jacque, Meredith, Hillary, Sasha and Megan S. went to Panama City Beach, which consisted of a road trip through 11 states.

 LAS VEGAS

Lexi F. and Chelsea traveled across the country for some fun in Vegas! They were able to eat at a lot of famous chef restaurants like Bobby Flay's Mesa Grille and Wolfgang Pucks Lupo.

SERVICE TRIPS

New Jersey—Meghan, Katie L. and Noor went on a 50-person Buck-I-SERV trip through United Way where they helped work on a house affected by Hurricane Sandy and an after school Boys and Girls Club.

Tennessee—Through H2O, Kelly and Lindsey went to Camp Mountain T.O.P. completing construction work and exploring the beautiful trails in their free time.

HOME SWEET OHIO

While Rachel C. was at home in Cleveland, she was able to attend her aunt's last chemo treatment for breast cancer. She said it was an amazing experience to see her aunt ring a special bell that all the patients ring after their last treatment!
